A small genus of bulbs that is usually found in the summer rainfall regions of South Africa.  The flower is in the
form of a dense umbel composed of many star-shaped flowers, and the leaves of Boophones are also highly
ornamental, being extremely glaucous and emerging from the bulb in a beautiful spreading fan.  The bulbs offered
here are immature.

A genus of about 20 species that are mostly from Southern Africa.  Included in this genus are some of the most
magnificent of bulbs with, in some cases, flowering umbels that can be as big as 24" across!  The bulbs we offer are
not yet mature.  They are suitable for growing outdoors only in Zones 8-10;  otherwise, they should be grown in a
greenhouse, in a deep pot or greenhouse bed.

Crinum is a large genus of over 100 species, most of which hail from the subtropical and tropical regions of the
world.  The South African species are extremely showy and desirable.  While most are not very hardy, some can be
grown as garden plants in suitable climates.    Zone  8-10.

A genus of very showy plants from Southern Africa that vary so widely in appearance and cultivation

This lovely little Cyrtanthus has flowers that are yellow inside, orangey-red
outside.  In addition, it has a strong spicy scent like cloves.



This fascinating genus hails from South Africa and has unique flowers shaped like a starfish, usually with a frilled
edge to the petal, which are scattered along the leafy stems. In most species the flowers last but a day or two, but
they are produced in profusion over a fairly extended period of time. The most unusual shape and coloration of the
flowers make this genus worthy of more attention. Winter-growing. Zone 9-10
